15th December 2002 - Division 4 - Garthill School, Bracknell

Wanderers bounced back in style against lowly-placed Bracknell Wanderers.

The Blues took the lead after twenty minutes when Mark Devenny turned sharply to fire Lewis Trustys pass high into the net.

A second goal followed when Trusty himself found space on the right and turned his man to fire in hard and low from an acute angle.

Devenny then added another goal, sliding in at the far post before setting up Alan Pearce who scored his first for the Blues with a clinical lob.

The four goal lead encouraged Wanderers to play some flowing football and they maintained their passing game despite a very sticky pitch.

Bracknell did hit a goal in return but Wanderers were fully in charge at the break.

In the second half Pearce completed his hat-trick in style with two composed finished which came either side of a three goal blast from Bracknell.

This proved a fine end to the year for the Blues and it could have been better when Oliver Bambroughs 40-yard shot hit the post.
