In difficult conditions and with a depleted squad, Wanderers suffered a humiliating defeat.
This game did more than suggest that promotion this season is beyond the Blues as they were outplayed and outclassed
by their promotion rivals in a game that could easily have been abandoned in pouring rain.
The only players to emerge with any credit were Alan Mellor and Chris Hillsdon, without whom Wanderers could
have considered double the amount which they did.
Owen Holland came on in the second half to make his debut and produced some fine runs from the right wing.
Other than the few positives this is a match best forgotten for Wanderers.
